It is best to start with the collar,
from the outside edge to the centre. Pull taut
while still damp to prevent corner curling. |
|
Iron cuffs next, like the collar
start with the underside, then topside. Fold double
cuffs in half, line up cufflink holes then press a crease. |
|
Iron one half of the yolk at a
time. Toe of board angled towards sleeve, spread
fabric & iron from sleeve to centre join. |
|
Spread one sleeve at a time, gauntlet
upward, iron from underarm to top edge of sleeve.
Beware of creases underneath. |
|
Collar angled toward the board’s
toe, iron from tail to yoke, use the point of
the iron around armhole seams. |
|
Pull shirt arm-hole gently over
end of ironing board, spread then iron all areas,
around the seam & in between buttons. |
|
Fasten top button then hang on
coat hanger to air. |
